1) Our Guarantee
Our Deed Polls are accepted as documentary evidence of a name change by all U.K. government departments (including HM Passport Office and DVLA), any U.K. public agency, public corporation or other public body, any U.K. company or organisation, and any British diplomatic mission overseas.
On the rare occasion that our Deed Poll is not accepted we would need to contact the concerned organisation for the refusal reason. When anyone doubts the authenticity of our Deed Polls, it is due to the staff working in an organisation being unaware of what a Deed Poll is or then it is because the staffs at that organisation are not informed as to the requirements of a Deed Poll document. It is our policy to support our clients/customers to get their problem resolved and to liaise with the body in question by speaking to them in order to get your Deed Poll accepted.
PLEASE NOTE: We are an independent company providing Unenrolled Deed Polls and our website is not affiliated with H.M. Government. Customers wanting an Enrolled Deed Poll can view the resources on www.gov.uk.
2) Contract
With any purchase or other business transaction it is very important all parties should make sure they have understood fully the terms and conditions of the purchase.
3) Privacy
Your privacy is very important to us. To better protect your privacy we will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998) and according to the Web Trader Code of Practice. We will never contact you and ask you for any of your personal information via unsolicited text, email, or phone call. In accordance with the Privacy & Electronic Communications Act passed into law 11 Dec 2003.
4) Security
We have a detailed security policy in place to ensure that all of your data is safe. All of our transactions are conducted on our secure server and all of your data is kept on the fully secure internal servers with full 128 bit encryption.
5) Your Data
5.1) Data security is very important to us, and to protect your data we have taken suitable measures to safeguard and secure data collected through Our Site.
5.2) We only keep your personal data for as long as we need to in order to use it, and or for as long as we have your permission to keep it.
5.3) Your data will only be stored in the UK and will not be shared with any third parties. Your data is secure and safe.
5.4) In some circumstances we may be legally required to share certain data held by us, which can include your personal data, for example, where we are involved in legal proceedings, where we are complying with legal requirements, a governmental authority, or a court order. Where any of your data is required for such a purpose, we will take all reasonable steps to make sure that your data will be handled securely, safely and in accordance with your rights, Our obligations, and the obligations of the third party under the law.
6) Right To Refuse Orders
We reserve the right not to fulfill and to cancel your order(s), In the event of not being able to fulfil your order(s) we will offer a full refund back to the original payment method, We are not obligated to provide you with a reason of refusal.
7) Payment
A full payment is required for all chargeable items before we start processing your order(s). If you are paying by debit or credit card, payment is deemed to have been made when we obtain authorisation from your debit/credit card company.
8) Refunds
We will endeavour to process all authorised refunds within 7 working days, Refunds will not include any shipping charges. All refund go back to the original payment method.
9) Returns
Due to the nature of the business we have a No Returns Policy.
10) Our Fees
The prices we charge for our services and products include all applicable taxes and delivery using our UK Standard service.There are no hidden charges, all prices are displayed on our site.
11) DELIVERY
11.1) Not received order(s) If your delivery address is within the UK and you do not receive your order(s) within applicable time of your selected delivery method and the tracking also shows as not delivered we advise you check with Royal Mail and to also inform us within 5 days from the date of delivery and we will resend your order. However if tracking information is showing as delivered on the Royal Mail site we will resend your order(s) and there will be a half price charge plus postage charged depending on which postal service you require.. And If you notify us after 14 days from the date of delivery then there will be a full price charge for your order(s) to be resent.
11.2) U.K. Customers Our mailing partner is Royal Mail and our normal delivery is via 2nd class post to all U.K postal addresses, and it is included in the price. All orders are guaranteed to be posted Same Day if placed by 3pm on a weekday and the next working day if placed on the weekend, however there is no guarantee that your order will arrive to your address next day, Experience have shown us 2nd class post can take between 4 and 5 day(s) to arrive within the U.K. If you are in urgent need of your order(s) then we strongly recommend that you please select the next day guaranteed delivery option when placing your order, For next day guaranteed deliveries, Orders must be placed before 3.00 pm Monday to Friday.
12) If We Make A Mistake
If we make a spelling mistake with your names or address or any typographical error on your Deed Poll that is not due to us being incorrectly informed by you, we will send you the corrected Deed Poll Certificate for no additional charges the same day you notify us of the mistake .
13) If You Make A Mistake
When placing your order for your Deed Poll application we advise you be very careful and check for typographical errors such as spelling mistakes, wrong postcode, titles etc. It is your responsibility to make sure all the information provided to us is correct. In a case where you do make a error when giving us your information and you would like that corrected you will have to apply for a replacement document which will cost half the price of the original order plus postage charge. We aim to ship out the replacement Deed Poll within 3 Working Days. To arrange for the replacement Deed Poll you will need to call our helpline on 0121 244 4648. This reduced fee replacement service only applies where there is a genuine mistake by you. For any other changes made to your order please read ‘Changes made to your Order’
14) Changes Made To Your Order.
After receiving your order if you would like to make any changes to your Deed Poll such as typographical changes or address changes (if you would like the full name changed and address that would be classified as new Deed Poll) please let us know within in 3 working days of receiving your order to get 50% off discount the order total (excluding shipping). If you inform us after 3 days from receiving the order the 50% discount will NOT be applied and you will need to pay full price again.
15) Your Rights To Cancel
The UK Regulations allows you to cancel your order within 14 days of submitting your application. However, due to the nature of the business we will be preparing your Deed Poll documentation before the end of the cancellation period so therefore we would have fully performed the service you have paid for, your rights to cancellation are restricted to the period of time from submitting your application to when we dispatch your Deed Poll. This is in accordance with section 36(2) of The Regulations. When submitting an order (s) you are agreeing to waive your 14 day cancellation rights under The Regulations. If you wish to cancel your order and receive a refund please notify us by email or phone before we dispatch your Deed Poll, we maybe be able to cancel the order if it has not been drafted, please note there will be a fixed £5 cancellation fee per order. Please also note all orders placed before 3pm are dispatched the same day.
16) Changes To Our Terms and Conditions
We may change the Terms and Conditions from time to time (for example, if the law changes). Any changes will be immediately posted on Our Site and you will be deemed to have accepted the terms on your first use of Our Site following the alterations. We recommend that you check this page regularly to keep up-to-date with our terms and conditions.
17) Loss Or Damage
Whilst every care has been taken in the compilation of the information provided on this website, Change Your Name Ltd will not be held liable or responsible for any loss, damage or other inconvenience caused as a result of any inaccuracy or error within the pages of this website.
18) Complaints & Correspondence
